Just Some Last Little Things Left

A sunny and 70 degree weekend is just what I need to take care of the final few things on these porches. But the screen will have to wait. The roof is coming off this old girl of a house and releasing her of some very heavy slate. Then repairing the box gutters and installing new dimensional shingles will put this home in the clear for 50 years. That's nice to think about.

Double Decker Porch Punch

I've been flirting with disaster on this under structured 100 year old porch for about 140 man-hours but now can breath again. It's safe to go outside, but not too far. The railings need to be installed before we party on the porch.

Block and Tackling The Job

A 12 foot 6x6 soaked with whatever it is they're using these days to treat it is no joke to lift 3 foot off the ground much less 15 feet to the second floor porch. So we're going old school with the 4 of them.

Next On The List Of Things To Do

I have to make this a usable space.
